Most people who know me are well aware of my strong personal interest in how the products we use every day affect our health and environment. For years, I have played a bit of a game, challenging myself to hunt down the highest quality, safest, most sustainable products. Whether it is a bottle of sunscreen, buckets of paint for my home, or a new mattress, I never buy anything without closely studying the chemical/raw material formulations, their safety information, sources, and certifications. This personal commitment to quality not only influenced my choices as a consumer but also fueled my drive to build a platform that empowers manufacturers to find and source the best inputs.
So, why is it challenging to produce exceptional products with top-notch ingredients? For large companies, purchasing items like desks, chairs, and computers is more straightforward to optimize because they are easily identified by SKUs. However, when it comes to buying something like drums of glucoside-based surfactants for shampoo manufacturing, the complexity skyrockets. With countless specifications, standards, and chemical properties to consider, the options for what to buy and whom to buy from are virtually endless. Navigating this information overload to make the best decision isn’t something a single person, or even a team, can tackle easily; it truly demands a technological solution.

Before teaming up with my brother Dheev to start Valdera, I sought to find and invest in a business addressing this issue. I met with over a hundred companies and never encountered a solution that fundamentally solved the data problems plaguing supply chains and procurement teams. Even now, many feel they have no choice but to resort to old-fashioned methods—endless Google searches, cumbersome spreadsheets, internal portals, and inefficient email exchanges. It became clear to me that these approaches not only wasted valuable time but also compromised product quality and sustainability. 
Dheev and I envisioned a groundbreaking AI-based platform to transform the sourcing process into a data-driven, streamlined, and quality-focused experience. Valdera is more than just a tool; it’s an innovative platform that leverages LLMs, ML models, and proprietary real-time data validation to level up supplier discovery, qualification, and relationship management. Buyers can securely share their specifications to be matched with suppliers tailored to their needs. This approach gives companies a competitive advantage by empowering buyers to expand their market reach, explore diverse suppliers, and find the best fit for their businesses. With Valdera, teams can make informed sourcing decisions that drive supply chain agility, resilience, and sustainability in a rapidly evolving market. 
Today, our team is proud to share the remarkable impact Valdera has already made. Our growing roster of customers includes some of the world’s largest manufacturers, from Fortune 500 industrial giants to well-known household CPG and beauty brands. The largest of these companies invest over $10 billion in raw materials, and by strategically leveraging Valdera, they are becoming resilient to supply chain disruptions and launching new products faster than ever before.
